Ierapetra

Chrissi (Goat Island)

Golden, also known as Goat Island, is an uninhabited island south of Crete. Its paradisiacal beaches, full of tiny shells, make it one of the top destinations to visit if you come to Crete. The entire island is protected by the European NATURA 2000 program. To reach the island, you can take a boat from the town of Ierapetra. The boat ride takes about 1 hour.
